Duties

Operates vehicle to transport for Transnational Issues Office (TIO) Section. incumbent receives direct supervision from the TIO Administrative Clerk and overall supervision by TIO Management Officer. Incumbent  is responsible of maintain fleet of vehicles to include regularly schedule maintenance and cleaning.  Provide assistance with local procurement for TIO Section.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months experience as professional Chauffeur  is required.

Job Knowledge: Must be familiar with local traffic laws and patterns; Must be courteous and well-mannered when communicating with Embassy officials. Must be familiar with the various offices/sections and their functions in the Embassy.

Education Requirements:

Successful completion of secondary school is required.

LANGUAGE:  

English: Level III (Good working knowledge, speaking, reading and writing) is required. (This may be tested)

Arabic: Level III (Good working knowledge, speaking, reading and writing) is required. (This may be tested)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have a valid Sudanese driver’s General license applicable to all types and sizes of vehicles. (This may be tested)
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the city and various locations.
  • Must be able to translate verbally from English to Arabic and vice versa.
  • Must have an ability to follow instructions, and be reliable in attendance and performance.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
