Duties

Serving as Management Specialist (MS) in Embassy Khartoum’s Management Section, incumbent supports the American Management Officer in providing and overseeing a full range of services in support of the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services (ICASS) Management structure to the five agencies employees represented at Embassy Khartoum. I Incumbent reports directly to the Management Officer.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: At least two (2) years’ experience of general administrative work experience is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Thorough understanding and knowledge of Foreign Affairs Manual, Foreign Affairs Handbook, ICASS Handbook and applicable ICASS cable guidance, Standardized Regulations, Management Policies and Procedures, and other pertinent U.S. Government law/regulations as well as prevailing practice and local labor law. Have an overall understanding of the missions and organizational structure of ICASS Serviced Agencies and their applicable rules of operations.

Education Requirements:

Successful completion of two-year diploma in a business administration is required

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:

English: Level IV (Fluent, speaking, reading and writing) is required. (This may be tested)

Arabic: Level IV (Fluent, speaking, reading and writing) is required. (This may be tested)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be able to use a personal computer and other office equipment such as a copier, scanner and a fax, and have a proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook. Have strong organizational skills, attention to details, and have the ability to foresee, understand and articulate clearly, both in writing and verbally, problems or opportunities within budget constraints to Management.
