Emergency Response Clinical officer – SAVE THE CHILDREN
The Opportunity
Emergency Response Clinical Officer will be fully embedded into the Emergency Response Unit of SCI Sudan based in Health Facility and on a rotational basis depending on need, with the possibility of deployment to any other parts of Sudan SCI Operational zones. Will have overall responsibility for patient care in her particular professional areas with flexibility to work in other disciplines. The Emergency Response clinical officer will be responsible for the management of patients in consolation room, Maternal and Child Health clinics, inpatient wards and patients in isolation wards like CTC and participating in mass vaccination campaigns. Will also be expected to participate in responding to disasters like disease outbreaks, floods, drought and population displacement
In order to be successful, you will bring/have:
Essential
- MBBS from recognized faculty of medicines with at least 2 years working experience in a busy hospital
- Experience working in emergency settings is a must.
- Demonstrable experience in ward management and staff supervision
- Training and capacity building experience
- Working experience in insecure and remote settings will be an added advantage
- Good communication skills
Desired:
- Previous experience in humanitarian field
- Public health diploma or MSC
Contract duration: 1 year
