Duties

This is a non supervisory position located in the Human Resources Office.  The incumbent performs a variety of personnel and administrative Human Resources duties.  The incumbent reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

The HR Assistant is responsible in providing services in the various HR ICASS components to include Awards Program, Special Immigrant Visa(SIV), processing Personnel Actions, Processing Medical Claims and Training Program.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: A minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources or administrative field is required.

Job Knowledge: Knowledge of general office management practices and procedures. Must have knowledge of Human Resources practices, Awards, SIV, Training and etc. The full performance level of this position is also expected to have detailed knowledge of USG policies, regulations, and procedures is required.  Knowledge of Awards policy, SIV, Worker’s Compensation.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Management is required.

LANGUAGE:  

English: Level III (Good working knowledge, speaking, reading and writing) is required. (This may be tested)

Arabic: Level III (Good working knowledge, speaking, reading and writing) is required. (This may be tested)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, and Internet). Good keyboard skills where accuracy and speed are required.  Must have understanding of mathematical formulas for preparing statistical reports on various elements of data analysis. Strong writing skills to produce and update complex reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills to manage in-person and telephone contacts. Must be organized, diligent and able to work under pressure. Good interpersonal relationships are required.

The full performance level of this position is also expected to have skills in using proprietary software directly related to their job duties such as Overseas Personnel System (OPS).

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
