The NRC has recently re-registered to operate in Sudan, and is currently in country start-up phase, conducting assessments and designing the first steps of the programme. Focus will be given to people displaced by conflict, refugees, and vulnerable migrants, and potential geographical areas of work will be Khartoum state, South Kordofan and Blue Nile on a first phase, with the idea to expand to other States.

As a priority, NRC is therefore hiring a Camp Management Technical Officer – Information Management to be part of establishing NRC’s programme in Sudan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of IM project staff within team
- Implement plan of action for delegated portfolio of Camp Management projects (activities, budget and project documentation)
- Ensure the CM team has tools, processes, and capacity in place to collect, store, and analyze accurate and timely information and data on sites/areas where IDPs and returnees located, to identify gaps and needs and support humanitarian programming.
- Ensure regular, clear internal and external communication and reporting of data and information from NRC areas of intervention
- Draft information products such as reports, charts and infographics by turning data into graphic products to facilitate the dissemination of information to external stakeholders for the purpose of reporting, information sharing and advocacy. To this end, designs the layouts of reporting and presentation templates using graphic design programs ensuring the attractiveness and clarity of the information products.
- Ensure availability of updated and quality information for informed decision-making by NRC’s program team by identifying pertinent variables, including analysing and interpreting multiples datasets, identifying trends and patterns in protection issues and humanitarian needs affecting NRC’s targeted beneficiaries.
- Ensure the compliance of information systems and process with the applicable standards and guidelines related to information management and data protection, including the Protection Information Management (PIM) standards and principles and NRC’s internal guidelines.
Required skills
- Experience from working in camp-based humanitarian projects, or of community engagement practices in humanitarian situations
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in information management, database management, mapping and web development
- Knowledge of different data collection methodologies and proven capacity to analyze statistical information
- Previous experience in team and project management
- Proven abilities in data collection, compilation, analysis and reporting with ability to write in a clear and concise manner and effective oral communication
- Proven skills in infographic management
- Prefered to be from El Geneina area.
