In 2019, CARE has been conducting research across the five States of Darfur to better understand women’s access to participation and leadership in decision-making in peace building and conflict resolution mechanisms. The Gender and Peace building Initiative (GaPI) research was funded by the Darfur Community Peace and Stability Fund (DCPSF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and carried out by CARE International Sudan with the support of national NGOs (NNGOs), the Darfur Development and Reconstruction Agency (DDRA) and Global Aid Hand (GAH).
