The Opportunity

Providing support and assistance in managing and implementing projects in all their stages, performing coordination and follow-up of plans and elements of projects and related business environment relationships, and performing all procedures for preparation, implementation and documentation.

He has knowledge of the intersections of migration and asylum issues and is familiar with refugee and migrant communities in Sudan

This post play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing projects, including, accountability for the entire project scope in Khartoum and other project areas, project team, resources, supervision and couching the performance of the local partners and the field based staffs, coordinate delivery of projects goods, collect, analyze and forward project information to the project manager, organize and implement trainings for staff, local partner’s  personnel and volunteers, resolve program related issues and liaise with local community and the migrant community leaders.

assist the project manager in leading the project team in Khartoum to execute EAMR project effectively and efficiently. Define scope, budget and schedule for the implementation of the intended activities. Ensure project execution within defined budget and timelines. And providing leadership for projects staffs, implementation and monitoring project activities in liaison with the stakeholders, line ministries and relevant government bodies in Khartoum and other project areas.

Essential:

At least a first Degree in Political Studies, Low, Development studies, Rural development, Community Development

  • At least 2-5 years successful experience in project implementation with reputable humanitarian NGO operating in the Sudan
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Proven history of project management including project design, budgeting, implementation and monitoring and evaluation administration
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing and negotiation and coaching.
  • Experience with partner coordination, including government, non-governmental partners and donor relations
  • Excellent analytical and creative abilities with strong results orientation
  • Commitment to Save the Children values.
  • Willingness to learn and share information
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
  • Good computer skills in MS packages (Computer Applications; word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills including ability to be in control of delegated responsibilities.
  • Interpersonal Communication Skills.
  • Strong reporting skills and experience in developing donor reports.
  • Working independently with limited supervision.
  • Practical experience of program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to work to programmes and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze large volumes of diverse data.
  • Well-developed community mobilization skills
  • Good knowledge of financial management in the NGO sector.
  •  Computer literate in Microsoft packages especially Excel and Word
  • Energy and self-motivation.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the needs of refugee, asylum seekers and migrant children living in Sudan.
