Programme Operations Analyst – (2200041O) – Save the Children
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Programme Operations Analyst will support the operations team and country offices with the production, coordination and dissemination of quality and timely management information communication products and analysis. This will include working with field offices in the coordination and dissemination of portfolio analysis, landscape mapping and trend mapping for operations planning, reporting and ongoing response information. The post holder will produce analytics to support the Operations department in analysis and provide relevant information for decision-making.
By supporting the operations team, through research and monitoring of contextual analysis and humanitarian information sources (internal and external) and attending forum and networks, the post-holder will assist the production and dissemination of CO trend analysis by field location and sector
The post-holder will also work with field office project officers; information and communication officers and other associated staff in identifying and supporting (including direct training/mentoring) capacity building needs that will ensure quality and timely programming in the field Offices.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Key Responsibilities
Information Management and dissemination
- Analyse and provide programme management information that is required for the evolving needs of Save the Children country Office Operations team, based on on-going programme support; profile building for a variety of audiences.
- Monitor internal and external Operation information sources to provide oversight of emerging and continued humanitarian contexts. Attend CO forum and networks as required
- Act as a link between field offices and country to promote 2-way communication and accountability. Ensure field offices understand the value of the information they provide.
Programme operations support
- Evaluate and continuously monitor Country Office KPIS, Essential standard improvement plans, Risk Registers, and High Risk Awards providing analytics to inform trends and improvements in CO operations and quality in Programme Delivery
- Work directly with field Offices and coordinate across the operations team and other departments to ensure the timely delivery of Annual/monthly/quarterly reporting.
- Work with the operations team to provide information and analysis on humanitarian trends to identify and support improved emergency preparedness and contingency planning across the country office .
- Occasionally be deployed to field offices for Operational Support and in the initial stages of an emergency response to assist with duties linked to this role.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Able to manage a high workload and meet tight deadlines
- At least 3-5 years demonstrable experience in role with similar responsibly for information analysis, management and coordination
- A university Degree/Master’s in a related field
- Ability to work effectively to elicit information from a variety of stakeholders and to adapt this into concise materials in English to support and promote the work of Save the Children.
- An understanding of response management and the critical importance of information management and communications
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Excellent and proven communicator able to communicate to a wide range of audiences.
- Competent IT skills and experience of using email and Internet.
Desirable:
- Experience of working for or with Save the Children, or a related rights or development organisation
- Experience of operating multimedia equipment including digital cameras, video recording equipment, web cams, and voice recorders.
- Experience of tailoring communication and advocacy messages for a variety of decision-makers and high-level audiences.
