About Association for Community Awareness (ASCOA)
Since 3rd November 2011, ASCOA has been dedicated to improving the awareness of the local community on HIV/AIDS and its related stigma, promoting peace building in the society, fostering environmental protection and the fight against climate change, supporting children, and empowering women and girls in order to improve their socio-economic participation and boost their wellbeing. We envision a world free of HIV/AIDS, where people are neither stigmatized nor discriminated upon due to their HIV status; a world where women are empowered and children are protected; a world where peace reigns and people live in an environment free of pollution and global warming.
Task
We are seeking an Online Volunteer with web design experience and a rich IT portfolio on a nonprofit WordPress website. The online volunteer will work on the development of sub website section for the environmental work of ASCOA, update and maintain the current website. To this end, she/he will work closely with the CEO of ASCOA.
Background and objectives
ASCOA is an NGO with headquarters in Buea Cameroon and a branch in the USA, with upcoming branches in the UK and Kenya. To this end, we need to develop a subsection with ASCOA’s environmental work, update ASCOA’s website to reflect its international status. ASCOA has a good website(https://ascoa-cm.org/) that really needs an experienced Online Volunteer, preferably with several years of experience in Website update, maintenance, and content management. This project will help ASCOA to showcase its environmental work.

- 1-5 hours per week / 15 weeks

Requirements
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Creativity and problem-solving aptitude, Years of experience in website development and IT project management, ideally for non-profit organizations. Expertise in online form design, and layout related to website Proficiency in website design and website maintenance Information technology skills, Communication skills.
